Public history
Changelog
Public history of the main changes to France ÉcoScan, presented by what they bring to users rather than by internal technical versions.
Single purchase, ready and framed
The terms of sale name the payment provider, Stripe Managed Payments, which acts as merchant of record for the transaction, and the consumer mediation body, CM2C, which can be contacted free of charge. Each study’s page says whether purchase is open; a purchased study opens at once in French and English, with a downloadable order confirmation.
France ÉcoScan in English, end to end
The four major studies are now available in English, with their interactive charts and PDF reports: same data, same calculations, same edition as the French. The institutional, legal and sign-in pages, the Observatory and the indicator pages follow. A dedicated refund policy restates the articles of the terms of sale that govern it.
French public debt: edition 2026.3, and a catalogue of 61 indicators
The major study on public debt moves to edition 2026.3: it includes the quarterly debt for the second quarter of 2026 published by INSEE on 29 September. The catalogue loses one indicator, consumer confidence, which no analysis actually read; it now has 61 series.
Debt counter: the official figure, the estimate and the pace, finally told apart
The public debt counter now shows three numbers that can no longer be confused: INSEE's latest official outstanding amount, dated by its reference date; the France ÉcoScan estimate for the end of the current quarter, with its error margin measured over ten years of tests; and the projection pace between the two, dated by its last recalibration. This pace is not a real-time measurement: it only changes when INSEE or the Agence France Trésor publishes new data, which now happens automatically.
A refocused product: four major studies, 62 certified indicators, French and English
The indicator catalogue was certified series by series and brought down to 62 series whose source, re-use rights and release cadence are established. The former corpus of tiered analyses was withdrawn: what France ÉcoScan now publishes are the major studies, each with a free preview. The site is served in French and English, and the interactive Observatory requires an account.
Employment and unemployment for the whole of France, Mayotte included
The employment and unemployment indicators follow INSEE's revision of 7 August 2026: the coverage becomes the whole of France, Mayotte included, and the history was revised by back-calculation. The ILO unemployment rate stands at 8.3% in the second quarter of 2026, up 0.2 percentage point on the quarter. Each series now states its source, period, coverage and status, and flags when its latest point is a quarterly observation rather than an annual average.
Better readability for Google and AI assistants
Structured data, trust pages and public files were added to help search engines and AI assistants understand the project.
Public transparency pages
The About, Press and Changelog pages were published to clarify France ÉcoScan's mission, independence, sources and limits.
Public pages and entry paths
Consolidation of the public pages and of the entry routes to the interactive observatory.
Stability on mobile, tablet and laptop
Gradual stabilisation of the display before the SEO/AEO work, without redesigning the main interactive application.
